Presentations and Workshops

PCF presentations and workshops engage critically on the climate crisis, including the real dangers it presents and opportunities for engaging in tangible solutions. Events are typically co-designed with organizers to fit your unique context, providing a mix of targeted educational material with hands-on learning experiences. This could include film events; guest lectures and presentations; panel discussions; photo-storytelling; and much more. Our aim is to bring critical and engaging discourse on climate change into community contexts - exploring how this issue intersects with so many other issues of concern in our communities.
Middle School / High School

Our grade school level workshops and presentations engage students on themes linking climate change and sustainability, through compelling educational experiences and hands-on, active learning. Each workshop is designed to fit the needs of the class and course curriculum, working with educators to design a best fit for your students' unique context.

Creativity & empowering student voices in leading solutions is always key to planning our events.

College / University

Our aim is to bring critical and engaging discourse on climate change into post-secondary contexts - showing how climate change intersects with so many other issues of concern in our communities.

We partner with relevant university groups, departments and clubs as well as community groups to draw attention to opportunities for students to get involved locally in taking climate action. By designing with local action groups in mind, these events can be leveraged to help 'on-board' or recruit interested participants into ongoing local opportunities for action.
Community

Community events span a wide spectrum of creative engagement on climate change: from local advocacy / mobilizing efforts; to community mural and art creation; photo-storytelling empowering participants to share their own climate stories; to film screenings; panel discussions; facilitated community dialogue; targeted campaign support and much more.

We partner with relevant community environmental / social justice groups to draw attention to opportunities for participants to get involved locally in taking climate action.
Business

Photovoice: Sharing Climate Stories

Stories are critical to guiding human society and actions, from shaping individual to group identities.

Our storytelling workshops take a variety of forms, bringing in creative techniques from theatre to personal inquiry and sharing, deepening connection to the global climate that sustains all of us. The workshops empower participants to create and share new stories of global change, through this deepening support for local climate engagement and action.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Participants contribute to designing a range of original "puzzle pieces" each speaking to one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and how it they might be realized in our community.

The result is several murals that can now travel between communities, to educate and inspire others on these SDGs.

This reflective, thought provoking and creative exercise is a rewarding experience for audiences of diverse ages encouraging critical thinking which is essential in leading our own sustainable development forwards.

Community Murals

Mural events are one incredible way to engage our communities creatively on climate, getting everyone's bodies and minds activated together while making a powerful symbolic statement in your community.

Murals can build community dialogues and relationships, attract press attention, inspire and engage everyday people walking by, and generally help engage participants and viewers alike in dreaming up and envisioning a far more sustainable future.

Plus, murals are just FUN!
